At SPU, students are provided with a professional platform that fulfills the student’s placement desires and requirements with the help of a Training and Placement Cell. This cell is responsible for facilitating job opportunities to each and every student of the university. It organises various activities and programs like mock interviews, aptitude tests, and group discussions to train and prepare the students. Apart from this, to provide corporate experience and networking, the cell organises Industry Internship Programs, Soft Skills Programs, and Entrepreneurship Development Programs. Other major objectives of this cell are:

• To conduct regular conferences, seminars, workshops, live projects, etc., and provide the students with an environment that focuses on standard interactions between the students and the company.
• To train the students in the area of knowledge, personality, and skills.
• To guide, motivate, and develop the students to focus on building careers.

The cell conducts two types of campus placement drives, namely, On-Campus Placement Drives and Pool / Off-Campus Placement Drives. The cell follows a certain placement process during the on-campus placement drive i.e. Interview followed by Technical Interview and HR Round.

Cipla, Sun Pharma, Nexus, Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Lemon Tree Hotels, ICICI Life Insurance, Aristo Pharmaceuticals Limited, etc. are some of the companies that visit SPU with the purpose of placement.

Located at 8^th Mile, Budang, Sikkim, the institute provides a well-constructed campus to the students offering excellent learning, interaction and adventure opportunities. The institute provides the students with the facilities of smart classrooms, theatre, music, dance, and cultural festivals and events to enjoy and socialise. Apart from this, the institute offers other amenities and facilities like:

• Laboratories: The institute offers excellent practical knowledge to the students with the help of multiple labs. SPU has modern, furnished, and well-maintained labs with comfortable seating space & learning areas. There are labs like Nursing lab, Chemistry lab, Computer lab, Pharmacy lab, Physics lab, and Networking lab. All these labs are spacious as in one go, 100+ students can study.
• Library: SPU provides its students with an excellent reading area as the library of this institute has a number of reading materials and multi-format resources. Apart from this, the institute also supports and motivates the use of e-journals as it makes the researching part easier and offers plenty of educational materials.
•  Hostels: The institute provides excellent accommodation facilities to students traveling from far away locations. The premises of the hostel are located in a peaceful environment and offer safety and security to the students. The rooms are fully furnished, maintained, and homey. Facilities for sports like Volleyball, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Cricket, Badminton, Football, etc are available here. Apart from this, the institute also organises multiple sporting events and tournaments to encourage students to compete and show their skills.
• Health Facilities: SPU takes special care of children as it offers proper medical facilities. The institute has all the medical kits and there are ambulances equipped with first aid and medical emergency equipment present on the campus for any kind of emergencies.
