During the year 1998, the JB Institute of Engineering and Technology (JBIET) was set up. This higher educational institution is based at Hyderabad that is in India’s Telangana state. Also, the JBIET bears affiliation with Hyderabad’s Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH). Moreover, the institution has the accreditation of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The National Board of Accreditation has, also, given accreditation to the College.
The JBIET’s mission is to impart quality engineering and management education and conduct research activities. Indeed, the objective is to benefit society members by blending ethical values and global perspectives.
The JBIET Ranking in India is 53rd position in the list of Telangana’s top engineering colleges for the year 2013, having AA+ state grade. Also, the Institute is hailed as a Microsoft Platinum Campus.
The Institute’s founding body is the J.B. Group of Educational Society that started operations in the year 1993, under the leadership of Shri J. Bhaskar Rao. More so, the JBIET comes under the umbrella of the J.B. Group of Educational Institutions.
As part of the Group, there are 2 other Engineering Colleges that are the Bhaskar Engineering College and the Joginpally B.R. Engineering College. Additionally, the Bhaskar General Hospital and Bhaskar Medical College are part of the Group.
Moreover, there is the J.B. Institute of Computer Technology at Tirupathi and Women’s Engineering Colleges at Tirupati and Hyderabad. In fact, since inception, the Group has been imparting free education to the underprivileged classes; and over the years, has gained repute in the field of knowledge.
Further, the JB Group imparts skills that are inclusive of the life and professional ones to the pupils. There are activity-based and experiential learning programs that are conducted as part of the Skills program.
