Shiv Nadar University comprises of a cluster of schools. These schools offer various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.
School of Engineering offers four years B.Tech course. The institute also offers M.Tech and Ph.D courses. The specializations offered for B.Tech are Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and English as the main subject. The eligibility criteria depend on the board of education and are set up by the University prior to candidates short-listing. The eligibility criteria for the B.Tech course are given below.
The eligibility criteria for Karnataka, National Institute of Open Schooling, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu is a minimum of 50% marks in each subject and PCM ≥ 87% or JEE score ≥ 120. For CBSE, ISC board the minimum criteria is 50% marks in each subject and PCM ≥ 80% or JEE score ≥ 120.
Candidates belonging to Gujarat, Assam, Haryana, Goa, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Punjab must have a minimum of 50% marks in each subject and PCM ≥ 75% or JEE main score ≥ 120.
Candidates from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand must have minimum 50% marks and PCM ≥ 70% or JEE Main Score ≥ 120.
The institute offers postgraduate courses in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. For Admission in M.Tech, the candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in B.E/B.Tech in the relevant discipline. Candidates who have completed B.E/B.Tech from NITs and IITs with CGPA of 8.0 or GATE score ≥ 75 need not appear in SNU written test.
Academia offers a doctoral course in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical engineering, Electronics, and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates are willing to take admission in Ph.D must have passed M.Tech/M.E/M.Sc in relevant discipline with first division from recognized University. Candidates must have a good academic score, preferably a good score in GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR and approach for research.
Academia offers a doctoral course in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Life Science and Bioinformatics. Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks in a Master's degree in Natural sciences or relevant areas.
The institute offers three years bachelor course in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Biotechnology. The curriculum is designed in such a way that students get prepare for the industry as well as it also inculcates leadership roles.
School of natural sciences offers a master's degree in Mathematics. Candidates must have completed B.Sc/B.A/B.Tech course in Mathematics/Science/Physics/Engineering or other similar disciplines with minimum 50% marks.
Academia offers a Bachelor's program in Social Science, International Relations, History, English, and Economics. Candidates who belong to Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, National Institute of Open Schooling and Telangana must have a minimum of 75% marks in 10+2. ISC and CBSE candidates must have 70% marks (excluding non-academic subjects) in 10+2. Candidates of Assam, Gujarat, Goa, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Haryana, Nagaland, Punjab, Meghalaya, and Madhya Pradesh must have 65% marks in 10+2.
Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 are required for candidates who belong to Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Tripura. Students with an IB curriculum must have an aggregate score of twenty-one with a minimum of four in each course. Percentage marks are the same as CBSE for Cambridge International Examination.
School of Humanities and Social Sciences offers two years' Master's degree in Fine Art (Film and Television). The course imparts knowledge about cinematography, direction, editing, sound design, sound recording, screenwriting, documentary filmmaking, and multi-camera video production.
It is designed for the students who have drive and passion for pursuing a career in television and cinema. Candidate must have 50% marks in bachelor degree.
Master of Design is a two-year course that nurtures creative minds to create outstanding leaders in the field of designing. Candidates willing to take admission in this course must have a minimum of 50% marks.
