The Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology - KIIT Bhubaneswar is a Deemed-to-be-University. It was established as an Industrial Training Center in 1992. KIIT was later started as an Institution in 1997. It is approved by UGC & AICTE. It is recognised by INC, BCI, NMC (previously known as MCI), DCI, PCI, COA, Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
KIIT University Bhubaneswar is accredited by NAAC, NBA, NABH, and Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) USA. It has been ranked by NIRF in 2024 at the 15th position in the ‘Universities’ Category, and at 28th position in the ‘Overall’ Category. Admission Process
For admission, the eligible candidates can fill in the admission form that is available on the official website of the KIIT University Bhubaneswar. The students will be offered admission on the basis of their merit marks in the entrance test conducted by the University / other National Level Entrance Exams followed by Personal Interview & Counselling depending upon the programs.

KIIT-Merit Scholarship
Under this merit-based scholarship, KIIT University Bhubaneswar Toppers who have secured 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in each semester are offered scholarships for a period of 6 months.
KIITEE Merit Scholarship
In the B.Tech program, the topper of the KIITEE is awarded free education by the University (if enrolled at KIIT). Additionally, the top 100 rank holders of the KIITEE (for B.Tech) who have secured at least 60% marks in the qualifying exam with PCM can avail this scholarship.
PradyumnaBal Memorial Scholarship
Following this scholarship, 2 financially weak & meritorious students are provided with free education every year. This covers the students’ College and Hostel fees including mess, books and additional expenses.
KIIT Poverty-Cum-Merit Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to the financially weak students wherein the scholarship amount & the period are decided according to the needs of the shortlisted students.
