The Jain University - JU Bangalore was established as Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer JAIN College (SBMJC) in 1990. The Jain Deemed-to-be-University is approved by UGC and AICTE. Note: Candidates who are in the final semester / year are eligible for admission. Also, UG programs are offered as Hons. and Hons. with Research.
Admission Process
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can submit the application form via online / offline mode. After this, they are required to qualify the Jain Entrance Test (JET) & the Personal Interview / Group Discussion / Essay Writing / Presentation depending on the programs. Further, admission seats will be offered to the students on the basis of their merit marks.
* For MBA, students who have a valid score in the CAT / CMAT / XAT / MAT / NMAT / ATMA / GMAT do not need to appear for the JET exam.

Documents Required
The Jain Deemed to be University offers scholarships to the students of Indian Nationals under 2 categories which are Academic and Sports. Eligible & interested candidates can fill in the Scholarship Application Form by collecting the same from the Admissions Office of the University.
The JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University) Scholarship Committee (JUSC) shortlists and awards the respective scholarships to the candidates on the basis of merit. The details of the available Scholarships are mentioned below:
Medha Scholarship: This scholarship is offered under the Academic Category. It is awarded to the 1st year students of the B.Com program.
* A special test is also conducted for merit scholarship for the Management students.
Eklavaya Scholarship: Scholarships under the Sports Category are awarded to the outstanding sports persons who are between 17-21 years of age. In order to avail the scholarship benefits, students must have passed the qualifying exam.
Note: The aforementioned scholarships are non-transferrable. Also, students are not allowed to avail more than one scholarship.
