    DAIICT Gandhinagar for B.Tech in Mathematics and Computing
    The Mathematics and Computing B.Tech program at DA-IICT exceeded my expectations with its well-designed and relevant curriculum having blend of both Mathematics and Computer Science in all semesters. To get admitted into this program one needs to either apply through the DA-IICT official website which shortlists candidates based on their score in JEE Mains. The other way is to apply through ACPC counseling in which the students are shortlisted based on their score in GUJCET and Gujarat Board examination. Each of the above process constitutes to roughly 50% of the total strength of the batch. Once you get in this program, for each course the evaluation or the grading policy is solely dependent on the respective professor of that course. Usually it comprises of one or two In-sem exams and one End Sem. In addition to that there may be assignments, quizzes (may be a surprise quiz), project, presentations, etc. At DA-IICT a professor has no restriction; the grading policy decided by professor is final. Talking about the curriculum, the courses are very well chosen to give us a great exposure of Mathematics and Computer Science, which are very much relevant and prepare us for the real life challenges.
    Per Semester: Tuition Fee: Rs. 1,50,000, Hostel Fee: Rs. 27,500, Mess fees: Rs. 19,210, Registration Fee: Rs. 2,500, and Electricity Charges: Rs. 2,000. The above is the fees for the 2024 batch. Scholarships: The institute offers several merit-cum means scholarships for the UG students. The students can also apply to the scholarships provided by the Government of Gujarat. Additionally, DA-IICT also offers scholarships that have been instituted by its alumni.Read Full Review

    Nothing is strict about DAIICT
    In the very first semester, one thing was clear and that was that if we don’t have 6-pointers, we will lose our chance to sit for the interviews. I hardly cared then but now I see if it wasn’t for just one semester, I may have had a 6-pointer and who knows, I might have stopped studies there and would have been sitting comfortably in an IT office rather than a bank. IRC chants consumed the maximum time as in our days Linux used to be the thing and that was the only thing, I used to have issues with. I did ICT with CS and can say that academics were at par with any premier institutes of India because we learned almost every damn thing that a CS engineer should know.

    Everything seems to fall in place at DAIICT
    Without a question, academics at DAIICT on most days looked invincible. We were made to do new things in pursuit of gaining something from everything that we did. Take out the history of any institute that ranks among the top and you will see that they have let their academics do the talking. DAIICT did no different because they made academics the strongest and everything just revolved around that. DAIICT have set the trend of making students bold and full of confidence because as an engineer we can never shy away from trying. There was no fragility with the academics of DAIICT and going back so many years down the line, I still remember most things that I learned there.
