Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Gandhinagar is probably one of the greenest cities that I have seen. The lecture halls buildings were exceptional in the way they were built. Each student had his/her own space as it wasn’t the benches were 2-3 people will sit together. Everyone had their own desk and charging points below each desk as the study material was sent on laptops. The library hall was a dedicated building of 2 floors with books section on the ground and an air-conditioned study room over that. The campus biggest highlight was HPCC (High Performance Computing Cluster). The center has nearly 1100 PCs and all equipped with latest software. The college has open lawns and a track & field for students to stay fit in challenging atmosphere. The college has a huge food court with quite a few outlets that serves different cuisines from Chinese to Italian. Sports ground was not that big but good enough to play a game of football on Sunday’s.

Life at campus was intense as coding is not easy and a lot of mental exercise is required to stay calm. The college made us survive such situations as a coder’s life is not easy and maintaining form is of utmost importance. The 50-acre campus boasts maximum surrounding with some of the most fascinating gardens. The college strength is not that high and 50 acres of campus sometimes looked like, we are in some foreign country where we had to travel to see some other faces. The college's laboratory complex was one of the best-designed laboratories that I have seen. The sports complex was built in accordance with international standards. The campus was fully secured not just with cameras but around 40 guards used to guard the campus day in and day out. There’s a food court complex that has around 6-7 outlets and one can enjoy anything there from Pav Bhajji to Masala Dosa. In short, it doesn’t matter whether you are from which region, you will have your cuisine available at those food courts.

For the first two years, when the bonding was great between the juniors and seniors, the campus life was something else and then it changed upside down. The events didn’t have the same enthusiasm and even I got so involved with studies that I skipped the majority of the events.Read Full Review

DAIICT campus is huge and more than the size it was the quality of life that the college presented its students with. The labs were furnished and the classrooms had almost everything one could ever ask for. If Infrastructure was a performance, then I would say that the college has performed really well because they have left a lot of free spaces that have been converted into grounds, and gardens. Academic infrastructure hardly needs any mention but it was world-class to make sure that students had many other things at the campus the college has got the infrastructure spot on with nice food mall, grounds, library, and auditorium.

Since it's Gujarat and one can’t expect people to speak throughout in English. So, Gujarati jokes and dialects were quite common on the campus. The college events were amazing but since it’s Gujarat the best event has to be the Garba nights that were celebrated on the first two days of Navratri as the last three days of the Navratri were declared holidays, so that we could enjoy the festival with our friends and families.Read Full Review
