The faculty expertise across departments is average. However, in the recent times few industry workshops and seminars have been organized. However, there is still limited exposure to current industry trends. Most of the teachers have very rigid attendance policies. Every faculty has a PhD from reputed institutes. There is good mix of experienced and young faculty. Some faculty members have international exposure. Computer Science department is the strongest department in terms of the teaching staff. The faculty at IIITM consists of highly qualified people with doctoral degrees from prestigious colleges all across the country and world. There are faculties who teach fantastic but at the same time, you will have a tough time with some. You will have to maintain compulsory 75% attendance in each subject. Maintain good relation with TA and faculties. They mostly teach in English to ensure everyone understands the lecture.Read Full Review

So basically IMT group needs a percentile of around 98 percentile in OBC category and general needs around 98.5 which needs an open rank of 22k. Here the faculty varies from semester to semester. The teaching quality is quite good we cannot say most of college staff is good. Mostly the staff for CSE will be good rather than IMT and IMG or EEE.Read Full Review
