Xavier Institute of Engineering

XIE has a Training and Placement Cell that plays a crucial role in the overall development and growth of the students. The cell performs various functions like maintaining strong relations with different organisations, arranging pre-placement talks and conducting final interviews. There are different activities that are regularly conducted by the cell for preparing students for campus placements. These activities include:

• Mock Interviews
• Mock Tests
• Group Discussions
• Training Programs

Internship opportunities are also offered to the students by XIE in order to provide them with a practical experience of working in a corporate firm. In addition to this, various reputed organisations are invited in the campus for providing placement opportunities to the students. Some of these organisations are Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Reliance Jio, Quantiphi, Cimpress, Capgemini, Accenture, Finoux, and many more.

Xavier Institute of Engineering has a spacious campus in the heart of Mumbai. The campus of XIE has a decent infrastructure and hi-tech facilities for meeting the expectations of modern world students. The institute has properly ventilated classrooms that are equipped with facilities required for audio-visual presentation. Different amenities that are available at XIE for students are:

• Library: There is a centrally located library in the institute that is spread over 400 square meters. It has a rich collection of approximately 13179 volumes and 4792 titles related to different areas of engineering. It also has a collection of more than 747 CDs for various academic requirements of the students. It has also subscribed to more than 18 national and international journals. The library also has a reading room and reference section that can accommodate over 120 students at a time. Several computers are also available in the library which allows the students to access different e-learning resources.
• Laboratory: There are several laboratories in the campus for students to practice and gain deeper knowledge of different aspects of engineering. These laboratories are equipped with different tools and equipment that are used for gaining practical exposure. The institute has a GAIT Lab that has state-of-the-art computer technology. Along with this, the institute also has a MAC lab that is equipped with Mac PCs of different configurations. It is accessible to both students and faculty members. It is used by the students for completing internships and learning new technical concepts.
• Other Facilities: Seminar Hall, Computer Centre, Gym, Conference Room, Canteen, Girl’s Common Room, and Playgrounds are also present in the campus.
