    IIT Kanpur's Fee Structure and Scholarships
    As we know, the admissions in IITs happen through JoSAA counseling and the process is simple. I got CSE branch and now I'm so happy that I got into this branch, which I wanted to study. The academic load is not much for 1st year students. We can easily manage all the subjects allotted to us. The exams are little bit tough but even more than that, the grading system at IIT Kanpur is so hard that we have to give extra efforts for better grades and GPA. Actually, some subjects are like we may think where we are going to use them in real life but we just have to study them.
    Hostel charges including mess is around Rs. 33,000 per year along with that registration fee of Rs. 35,000. Tuition fee is 1 Lakh per semester (for general category students). However, we do have a lot of different scholarships for students, so most of the students get reimbursement. Reserved category students don't have to pay tuition fee because they get scholarship from institute at the time of admission.Read Full Review

    IIT Kanpur offers Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in different fields of engineering, science and humanities such as B.Tech / BE, B.Arch, BS and Dual degree programs for Undergraduate students and M.Tech, M.Sc, PhD programs for Postgraduate students. In order to take admission in undergraduate programs one has to qualify JEE Advanced examination which is conducted by one of 7 IITs i.e. IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati and IIT Kharagpur. For postgraduate programs, one has to qualify GATE / NET according to the course they want to pursue. The motive of having a B.Tech / BS degree is to have fundamental knowledge of the branch and enhance problem solving skills and having an M.Tech / PhD degree provides in-depth knowledge and research of that field and to grow leadership skills.

This course will enable us to learn new skills depending on the industry needs.
