You will find a calm and quiet environment in Department of Germanic and Romance Studies. French, German, Italian, and Spanish are taught here. Most of the faculty members are very nice to the students. Being at this department feels very homely. The only problem is the timings. You have your classes until evening. Since it is just a department of Arts Faculty, we do not have societies. But it is not even necessary because learning new language needs full concentration. They do not have a playground but the campus of Arts Faculty is already very large. You will definitely enjoy your four years if you take admission in this department. Overall, the environment of this college is much better than any other college. This college isn’t really crowded. Therefore, the environment is very peaceful, calm and content. The professors are very helpful and have the potential to teach you a foreign language with ease.Read Full Review

Overall, this department is a great place but lacks in extracurricular activities. There are a bunch of societies in the university, but all are inactive and since the total strength of the department is quite low, reviving them is quite tough. As this is a department, please don’t expect the same academic and social life as that of a college. It is a ragging free campus and the seniors are quite chill. You should definitely chose this department if you want to learn European languages.Read Full Review
