The SIT campus located in the nerve-center of Pune offers an ideal environment for education to thrive. Past and present students of the technology school have that they had a very heartening experience during their study period. Students make the most of the available facilities for carrying on with their studies and giving a solid start to their career.
The innovatively designed syllabi of the courses keep the students focused on their studies. The project-cum-problem based learning coupled with the liberty to choose elective subjects also keep them engaged and involved. The learners enjoy their time at the institution as cultural, sports, and technical events are organized from time to time.
The SIT library is a veritable repository of information as it has a good collection of textbooks, journals, and e-periodicals. The library contains 15,100 books and subscribes to 50 journals, 16 magazines, eight newspapers, nine e-database, and 48 e-books. The campus houses several labs devoted to different engineering/technology departments.
The workshop stocks state-of-the-art machines and has facilities including but not limited to power press, CNC lathe, and radial drilling machine. The Symbiosis Centre of Health Care provides preventive and curative healthcare and other services grouped under primary healthcare. The food court at the SIT campus comprises a juice bar, Café Coffee Day branch, and a canteen.
The college canteen serves breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks that students find very wholesome and nutritious. The authorities at the Institute encourage the students to participate in various sports formats including tennis, basketball, cricket, and football. The institute has a swimming pool and gymnasium that help learners to stay in perfect shape.
The students in close consultation with the Deputy Director (Sports) plan a sports calendar and organize competitions occasionally. The deputy director of sports constitutes university teams that take part in interuniversity meets and tournaments. There are many students’ clubs and societies that arrange many socio-cultural and technical events throughout the year.
