Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University (also known as SKN Agriculture University) [SKNAU], Jaipur established in 2013 is a State University, currently having 151-200 position in NIRF Ranking 2023. SKNAU Jaipur is approved by ICAR. Sri Karan Narendra Agriculture University - SKNAU Jaipur was established with a view to provide quality education in the field of agriculture and allied areas. It is approved by ICAR and has its jurisdiction over Jaipur, Alwar, Sikar, Dausa, Ajmer, Dholpur, Bharatpur, and Tonk districts.
Vision: The University’s vision is to work for sustainable agriculture and rural development and to strengthen the livelihood, economy and opportunities of secondary agriculture in Rajasthan.
Mission: Its mission is to improve and increase the productivity and profitability in the agriculture and rural sector using sustainable production techniques and by consumption and effective use of natural and renewable resources.
B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture, M.Sc and Ph.D in different disciplines are run by the university in its several constituent colleges or institutes. The university is running its programs in the following constituent colleges:
Students who want to enroll to the university must attempt the Joint Entrance Test (JET) conducted by the university for B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture in different disciplines. Admissions in the university are purely on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the JET. Similarly for M.Sc and Ph.D courses, Pre PG Test and Ph.D Admission Test is mandatory for the candidates seeking admission in SKNAU Jaipur. Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC, EwS, Persons with Disabilities and I.C.A.R nominees according to the reservation policy of the Government of Rajasthan.

Students can avail the benefits of Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence Scheme launched by the Government of Rajasthan. The University awards three Gold medals namely: Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and University Gold Medal each year in all disciplines to students scoring OGPA 6.5/10 or above in UG and OGPA 8.0/10 or above in PG programs.

SKNAU Jaipur has a Placement Cell dedicated towards providing its services to find job opportunities and higher education avenues for its graduates. Students interested in getting a job submit their details online to the Placement Cell. The Cell conducts several activities like workshops, awareness camps, training, etc during the academic year to train its students to become placement ready for different public and private sector organisations.
The Cell invites many leading companies to visit the campus for placement like Chambal Fertiliser, Kota Division, Vitromed, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, RDB Tractors, Samiridhi Group, Dhanuka Agritech, Reliance Retail, Meena Agrtech, Mahyco & Monsanto, and more.
The university has state-of-the-art infrastructure to support the educational journey of its students. The administrative building of the university is designed in a typical Rajasthani style. All main offices are housed in the administrative building. Nine virtual class rooms for UG students and smart classrooms for PG students are available in all the 14 departments. Computer Centers exist in almost all of the PG departments. Furthermore, there is a computer lab with internet facility for the benefit of students and staff.
