The Placement Cell at SCE acts as a mediator between industry and students as this bridges the gap between them. The cell facilitates industry related knowledge and requirements through guest lectures and presentations.

The cell continuously organises various pre-placement activities throughout the year for improving the employability of students such as:

Infosys, Wipro, Oracle, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Reliance Infocomm, Hexaware, HCL, L&T Infotech, Polaris Software, Sutherland Global, Airforce, and many other reputed companies are invited by SEC Srirangam for providing placement assistance to students.

SCE Srirangam is built on 40 acres of land with a decent infrastructure and facilities. Wi-Fi facility is available at campus for supporting e-learning. The entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi for supporting students in e-learning. Classrooms are constructed with adequate teaching equipment and facilities. Spacious seminar halls with adequate seating furniture and ICT facilities are available to host seminars, webinars, and other programs. Moreover, below mentioned facilities are also provided to students at Saranathan College:

• Library: The college central library is built on 802 square meters area and it contains a variety of reading materials such as 56000+ books, 21000+ titles, 4400+ reference books, 1940+ back volumes, 2800+ CD / DVDs, 20+ audio cassettes, 2400+ project reports, 100+ journals, etc. Here, a fully air-conditioned digital library section is available which has approx 25 computers with multimedia facilities to access e-resources. A separate reading section and reference section is also available with adequate facilities. Along with this, the campus also houses departmental libraries.
• Laboratories: The campus houses departmental labs that help students in acquiring practical learning in their relative field through experiments. The campus includes following labs:
  • Information Technology Lab
  • Fluid Mechanics & Machinery Lab
  • Data Structures Lab
  • Computer Labs and many others.
• Hostel: SCE offers separate accommodation facilities to both male and female students. A three storied building is available in the college campus for providing residential facility to boy’s and the girl’s hostel is situated near the campus which can accommodate around 200 students. Rooms in each hostel are ventilated and equipped with cots, tables, chairs, fans, etc. A kitchen and dining hall is also available to serve delicious and nutritious food to students. Wi-Fi facility, computer center, recreation hall, sports facilities, 24/7 power supply, etc facilities are available at hostels.
• Canteen: A canteen is developed on an area of 8350 square feets which comprises separate dining rooms for boy’s and girl’s where only vegetarian food is served.
• Sports: Outdoor and indoor games facilities are available in the SCE premises such as basketball court, tennis court, football field, volleyball court, ball badminton court, cricket grounds, kho-kho court, hockey field, kabaddi court, table tennis, chess, etc. Along with this, gym facilities are also provided to students. Students can engage in various sports events and tournaments.
• Transportation Facilities: Saranathan College operates around 25 buses to facilitate transportation services to students around different parts of the city.
• Additional Facilities: Auditorium, Reprographic Facility, Conference Hall, Clubs, and many other facilities.
