SVNIT Surat Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The infrastructure of SVNIT Surat is very well built. Almost every department is newly built and every department has well equipped labs, which helps us a lot. There is central canteen in the institute where we can eat many good foods. There is a medical dispensary with a doctor to whom we can consult any time we need. Transport facility is very good from the institute because there is a bus stop right in front of the institute main gate.

The overall life of the students is very good. Nightlife here is very good. There are many outstanding clubs, which students can join to improve their extracurricular activities. There is a fresher’s party held in the institute every year for the new coming students admitted in the institute named Kashish. A fest named Sparsh is held every year in the month of February. The departments have decent infrastructure while CSE and ECE have good infrastructure. Classroom size is around 50-70 students in majority of departments though there are some classroom with capacity of 100+. One of the highlights of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is its central library as the name suggests it is located in the center of the campus and is the most maintained building in the entirety of SVNIT. it is very well equipped and contains various sections for student to study inside the library. Canteen is also located centrally in campus providing decent food; there are two canteens one containing pure veg food whiles other canteen containing only egg related food. Sports is valued a lot in the institute with a dedicated sports department, well maintained 2 Volleyball and 2 Lawn Tennis courts and decently maintained 2 Basket ball courts, and a ground for football and cricket which is maintained as per sports event only. Bus is provided at selected timing for students from hostel to departments. There are two main gates for campus which is well guarded. Even all the hostels are guarded with watchmen’s.

The most exciting part of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology is its campus life. There are events on 4-5 days of week organised by various student clubs and societies considering there are no exams ongoing. There are highlight events such as Kashish exclusive events for freshers and SPARSH for all students with different flagship events for all student chapters. College seniors are very friendly and are ready to help juniors all the time. Canteen and library are the most crowded part of the campus surrounded with people almost all the time. In evening the student activity ground is filled with students playing various sports. And all courts are filled with respective teams practicing for INTER NIT competitions. Every branch is like my own department while M.Sc is one for three branches. The M.Sc building is not well developed. The seating capacity is good in all branches and CSE and ECE branches are pretty well developed. There is one main canteen in the Institute and the food is very good there. Also there is one medical centre which is free for students. Central library is favorite for every student as it is new and completed air conditioned.

Overall campus life is good till now since Institute is situated in the main area of Surat. Institute crowd is also decent and girl’s to boy’s ratio is also decent. There are many interesting clubs with many interesting activities like quiz and more. Fests are awesome like Kashish, the fresher’s party and Sparsh, the annual fest are two main events in the campus.
