NID Assam in collaboration with different companies organises placement activities for the students. It acts as a bridge between the students & the potential industrial recruiters. Moreover, it facilitates projects, internship and placement opportunities to the students.

The fully functional campus of National Institute of Design Jorhat Assam is located near Tocklai River and spread in approximately 30 acres of land. The campus has a high speed internet connectivity and availability of Wi-Fi networks in each block. The infrastructure includes various blocks including workshop, academic, and administrative blocks, along with a central park.

There are around 3 lecture halls, each having a seating capacity of around 60 students. These are equipped with the latest teaching and learning aids like power podium, surround speakers, short throw projectors, remote controlled display screen, etc. Students are trained in the studio rooms. Besides, the campus is under CCTV surveillance round the clock for the safety of the students. Additional amenities of the campus include:

• Library: The Institute has a Knowledge Management Centre (KMC) in a 2-storeyed building that covers an area of approximately 673.44 square metres. It is air-conditioned; Wi-Fi enabled, under CCTV surveillance, and provides ample space for reading. The Institute has subscribed to varied digital libraries that consist of e-books, journals, research databases, and multimedia educational resources.

The extensive collection of the library includes 4048+ books, around 31 periodicals, more than 119 bound volumes, reports, newspapers, to name a few. Other facilities include a reprographic section where computers, scanners and printers are available for the students.

• Laboratories: The laboratories are equipped with high-end instruments and equipment to contribute to the holistic growth of the students where they can identify their potential. Some of the laboratories are:

• Auditorium: The air-conditioned, spacious auditorium of the Institute is equipped with ultra-modern amenities such as display monitors, digital podiums, mixer based light and sound systems, etc. It is used to host guest lectures, seminars, conferences, cultural programs, etc.
• Studios: There are various types of studios set-up in the Institute for practical learning of the students. Available Studios include Design Studios, a Clay-Ceramic Studio, a Model Making Studio, etc.
• Cafeteria: A canteen is present in the Institute’s campus.
• Hostel: The Institute has separate accommodation arrangements for boys and girls in the campus premises. Additional facilities include gym, café, common room, mess, etc.
• Sports: Sports activities are conducted for the students to remain physically and mentally fit. Various outdoor and indoor sports facilities are available in the campus, including a gymnasium.
• Medical Facilities: There is a dispensary in the campus where a doctor is available at working hours for consultation.
