L.D. College of Engineering [LDCE], Ahmedabad was established in the year 1948 as a Public Educational Institution. * For Under Graduation programs, students who have studied from schools located in other states except Gujarat will have to qualify JEE (Mains) and students from schools located in Gujarat / whose parents are of Gujarat origin / serve in category of services as mentioned under Admission rules and transferred to Gujarat / studied under Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Scheme / Sainik School of Gujarat till class 10th will have to qualify GUJCET.

The Placement Cell facilitates placement opportunities to students in reputed firms. It provides training to student which helps in enhancing their skills as per the requirement of the industry. It organises career orientation programs, industrial meet, guest lectures, campus placements, etc. for students. Along with this, the placement cell has 2 auditoriums which are used for presentations, equipped with AC and multimedia facilities, and can accommodate 280+ students.
