Karpagam College of Engineering is an autonomous college that was established in the state of Tamil Nadu in 2000. The college has already received its approval from the prestigious AICTE. It has been accredited by NAAC with an A grade, while its affiliation is with Chennai’s Anna University. It’s a great institute located in the famous southern Indian city of Coimbatore. Campus is surrounded by coconut trees and lush green fields and is situated in the middle of nature. Karpagam College of Engineering Coimbatore admission process is rather simple as the students get admission based on their qualifications or entrance exams conducted by Anna University.
UG Programs: To get admission in the field of engineering the basic requirement is that students should have a 50% total in their 10+2 exam. They have to appear in the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) test conducted by Anna University. On the basis of marks scored in the test and 12th percentage a merit list is prepared and students get admissions.
PG Programs: For other courses like ME, MBA and MCA programs the students should have a valid TANCET score. The other criteria that a student has to fulfill are that he/she should have a valid score in the entrance test and a bachelor’s degree in the required engineering field.
Ph.D. Programs: Students have to fill out the application form for Ph.D. entrance test which is again conducted by Anna University. They have to appear for the interview after the test and after that only a student is given the final selection offer letter.

Karpagam College of Engineering Coimbatore has the placement cell that helps students with the entire process of hiring. It makes immense efforts in assisting the students of KCE with their jobs and career opportunities. The college has been inviting major recruiters to cater the needs of students by helping them get their desired sector. The cell has been conducting interactive sessions, group discussions and interviews for students to meet the necessities of the companies. Many companies and organisations have shown their interest in hiring the students of this engineering college.
KCE has been inviting eminent national and multinational companies to its campus. The major recruiters that have shown their interest in hiring students are HCL, Cognizant, PayPal, Wipro, IBM and TCS. The statistics of 2021-22 shows as many as 300 internships and around 900 job offers were made to the students. These students come from small villages of the state of Tamil Nadu to complete their education. It gives them immense happiness and joy when they are placed in their dream sectors. This engineering college has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Hexaware, IBM, Oracle, UTL technologies, Tech Mahindra for the students’ long term benefits.

Clubs: The campus conducts many recreational activities for students time and again. It has photography, film makers and journalism clubs along with yoga and cycling clubs. Students as per their own interests join these clubs and take part in the creative activities. These clubs and cultural programs create a space for students where they can explore their hidden talents. KCE also organises events and cultural fests like KALAM and DHRUVA for students.
Fitness & Health facilities: The campus has outdoor courts for Kho-Kho, Tennis, BB, Cricket, Handball and Throw ball. The indoor stadium facility is there for games like Badminton, TT, and Chess for both men and women. There also exists a gym if students are into daily exercises and fitness for that all type of equipment is available in the gym area.
Hostel: KCE has a beautifully designed hostel environment with all the modern facilities. The hostel has full water supply, one study hall, security and internet connection. The kitchen and dining area is also very spacious with plenty of food options.
Counselling centre: There is an on-campus facility of counselling to support students mentally. It gives special attention to the students who are going through psychological issues or stress in their lives. The counsellor works with the students to help them deal with emotional and academic problems.
NSS: National service scheme unit was also established in the college with the purpose of serving the society. It conducts many camps in the nearby areas to provide the services to the village people. Students are also selected for many international youth programs through NSS.
Other facilities: The campus has transportation facilities to pick and drop and more than 20 buses are available for that purpose. Library is also very big and all the needed books, journals, projects, and content can be found here. Students and staff members have open access to the library.
