IIST has a Corporate Relations Cell which is responsible for Internships, Placements, Entrepreneurship, and Alumni relations. The aim is to provide various opportunities to the students by assessing and matching their skills with various job profiles. The Cell also provides counselling, mentoring, training, and resolves the queries of the students. The vision of the Cell is to enhance and develop creative strength, analytical and technical professionals to make them employable for empowering the society. It provides corporate training, and organises industry relationship and interaction events for the students to provide them with practical exposure.

Internships are also provided by the institution which helps the students to apply their theoretical knowledge in the practical world and acquire employability skills. The institute offers in-house internships and external internships to the students.

Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, HCL, TCS, IBM, ZYCUS, EY, Oracle, Hexaware, Cisco, Infosys, Nestle, tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Big Basket, YASH Technologies, Force Motors, Bridgestone, Capgemini, Collabera, DXC Technology, Jindal Steel and Power, Impetus, JUSPAY, ZYCUS, Fusion, ARTECH, Value Labs etc. are some of the companies visiting IIST for offering placement to the students.

IIST is associated with IIT Delhi for Virtual Lab and with IIT Bombay for E-Yantra Robotics Lab. The other facilities provided by the institute include:

• Library: The library has a collection of around 70 National and International Journals, 70000+ Books, and 10000+ E-Books. The library has an Integrated Library Management System which provides various features such as Book Issue, Project Reports, Book Return, User Log, etc. Along with this, Digital Library is available for the students which provide access to the digital content.
• Laboratories: There are around 50+ labs which include around 19 Computer Labs, around 2 ED halls, Workshops, etc. All the labs at the institute are equipped with updated software and latest equipment.
• Auditorium and Seminar Halls / Conference Halls: There are 2 Auditoriums and 3 Conference Halls / Seminar Halls which can accommodate more than 200 students each. The halls are equipped with audio system, amplifiers, and projectors.
• Canteen: The institute has a spacious canteen which provides hygienic and healthy food to the students. It caters to the requirements of the students by providing them with various options and serving them homely and nutritious food while maintaining quality standards. 
• Hostel: The institute provides separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls which can accommodate 250+ students. The hostels have Wi-Fi, mess, common study room, clinic, recreational room, housekeeping, in house laundry services, etc.
• Transportation: Students are provided with the transportation facilities which are connected with all the nodal points of the city. There are around 40 buses which cover Mhow, Dewas, Dhar, and Pithampur areas.
• Sports: Sports play an effective role in the holistic development of the students as it has a positive impact on the students’ life. The institute provides various sports facilities such as Cricket, Volleyball, Chess, Yoga, Badminton, Table Tennis, Baskteball, Kho – Kho, Baseball, Kabaddi, Carom, Lawn Tennis, Volleyball, Football, Shooting etc.
