Heritage Institute of Technology was founded in the year 2001 under Kalyan Bharti Trust in Kolkata, West Bengal by a group of 22 Industrialists. It was established with a vision in mind to nurture responsible citizens to meet the challenges of society by retaining their traditional values and also prepare the students with a strong foundation. Along with this, their mission is to provide a subtle environment to their students for innovative thinking and developing necessary skills for their major.
The core technological departments at the institute are Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical. Some of the other courses offered by them are Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Humanities. The university has more than 19 departments and AICTE has approved all the courses offered by them.
