Baba Farid Group of Institutions

Baba Farid Group of Institutions has different cells for the welfare of its students such as the Career Guidance & Counselling Cell and the Training and Placement Cell. The career guiding cell helps the students to make the right choice in opting for the subjects and gives them exposure to different career options in their field of learning or education.

The Training and Placement Cell gives contribution to certain activities such as

• It helps every student to get employment,
• It provides placement and career-making opportunities to the students.
• They help students in grabbing placement opportunities by giving them on-job and necessary training.
• They conduct regular industrial visits so that the student can come across and are familiar with the field work and they can be mentally prepared.
• They also conduct international industrial visits; internal, professional, and compulsory training; Guest Lectures, Live Projects, and Placement oriented Activities.

Companies that have visited the college campus for recruitment are Hero, Videocon, Coca-Cola, IndusInd Bank, Byju’s, Trident Group, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, Wal-Mart, Jaro Education, HISP India, Reliance JIO, Amazon, HCL, IBM, Tech Mahindra, ITC, Genpact, DLF Building India, Cargill, IFFCO, Big Bazaar, Havells, HDFC Bank, etc.

Baba Farid Group of Institutions is mainly divided into two campuses:

• Muktsar Road Campus - Baba Farid College of Management and Technology

                                                 - Baba Farid College of Engineering and Technology

• State Highway Campus - Baba Farid College of Education

                                                  - Baba Farid College

Library

They have a facility of a library, open to staff and all its students. There are a total of 4 air-conditioned libraries on the campuses of the institutions that helps students to attain knowledge about their fields of knowledge. The library has 63,000+ books and more than 200 printed journals and magazines. There are facilities of e-library that has 6000+ national and abroad e-journals database managed by J-Gate. There are additional facilities such as Computers and Printers, Newspapers, Magazines, Rooms for Reading, and an Internet connection.

There is a unique facility available at the campus which is a Mobile Library, it serves the purpose of reading at your place and it has a collection of books written by many known writers of English, Punjabi, and Hindi language. It is developed in memory of the Late Mr. Kuldeep Singh Gill, Finance Director.

Cafeteria or Canteen

They provide a facility of a canteen for the students to satisfy their hunger needs. The cafeteria serves vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Food, the food is freshly made and is hygienic & full of required nutrients. There is a comfortable arrangement for seating and plenty of space for the students, staff members, and visitors to have food. There are three food joints namely Nescafe, Fast Food & Juice Bar Point, and a Mobile Canteen.

Hostel

There is a facility of hostel at the campuses that provide a homely environment, and comfort to the students residing there. The amenities given at the hostels are the following:

• There are separate hostels for both girls and boys, each with a capacity of holding 300 students at one time.
• The rooms are full-furnished with attached bathrooms also with an option of AC/Non-AC rooms.
• There are some common facilities provided at the hostel, i.e. AC study rooms, Wi-Fi Connectivity, Store Rooms, 24 hours security guard & warden to manage internal affairs, a common newspaper stand, transportation services, and much more.

There are some common facilities on the campus that are available to the students, they are transportation facilities through busses and ferries, On-campus sports facilities such as Table Tennis, Carrom, chess, cricket, basketball, volleyball, football; Ambulance Services to ensure the safety of students in difficult times, and banking facilities for the convenience of students.
