Government Engineering College Idukki Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Infrastructure of Government Engineering College is ok. 5 departments are present here. Campus size is 22 acres and is situated in township of Idukki. Classrooms are well occupied with modern infrastructure. All the departments have separate libraries and a large common library is present in administrative block. Like other colleges, we have all labs and workshops. Canteen is situated near administrative block. Sports are highly good at here. Idukki Medical College is situated in 5 KM away from college for emergency cases. Security guards are present in college during day and night. Transport facility is less as we know Idukki is hilly area but bus services are available. My favorite thing is climate and a lot of place to explore.

Overall campus life is average. College is not so crowded. There are so many clubs like IEEE, IEDC, Space club, and woman's clubs so on. We can take membership through interviews and other procedures. College conducts so many workshops and competitions for students. Arts fest and sports fest are present. Campus life is average when compared to other colleges. College experience me how to survive anywhere. Social life in here is okay as we have the freedom to do anything inside the rules.Read Full Review

There are 4 buildings in this campus. There are administrative block, mechanical block, electronic and communication, electrical and electronics engineering block, computer science and information technology block. In administrative block we are having the library and canteen. Good condition buildings, free Wi-Fi in campus, good infrastructure and 3 college buses are available here. Sports meet is also organised in the college.

Campus is situated in Kuyilimala near Painavu. Very nice atmosphere and nature. We can explore the beauty of Idukki everywhere we are going. I am so happy to be here. And got a break from the city life and traffics. Tech fests and many webinars were conducted here. NSS is the main club here many other tech and palliative club like oasis is here. Infrastructure is good college have mainly 3 large building. Lab facilities are also good. But college has no college ground, only basketball and volleyball court available. Campus has a small gym which student can use during morning or evening. College bus facility available to nearby towns and hostels.

Campus is very active throughout the year with several events like national level intercollegiate techfest named advaya, cultural fests, sport fest, college day, ponpulari (freshers' day), onam fest etc. Most of the students are a hostler so college is active with such events. Micro viewpoint is a nearby viewpoint on top of the hill in which college is situated. We used to go there regularly for birthday parties or just to feel the atmosphere and enjoy with friends. Most of the time college will be covered in Fogg and rainy and cold. It is very. Good environment for students. Also, there are so many good spots to visit nearby college like Idukki dam, hill view park, Munnar, vagamon, ramakalmedu, etc.Read Full Review
