Global Institute of Technology [GIT], Jaipur was established in the year 2002 as a Private Educational Institution. Global Institute of Technology is situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and was established back in the year 2002. The institute is affiliated with RTU and is ranked “A” by the same and is approved by AICTE. The college has been accredited with a grade point “A” by NAAC and it is the first to be ranked in so overall North India region. From the last 20 years, GIT Jaipur is considered to be one of the top engineering colleges in Rajasthan. The GIT Society is promoted and supported by the Kandoi Group. It is a private institute known for engineering. The objective of the programs at GIT is to deliver engineers who should be able to innovate, learn and evolve with contemporary technology later.
The college offers both UG and PG courses for engineering. The faculty members at GIT are highly qualified and knowledgeable, and are capable of imparting the best to the students. The college has the latest technology installed for student learning. There are a total of 6 departments at GIT imparting different courses for the students. They are Computer Science Engineering and IT, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, AI & Data Science, Electrical Engineering, and Applied Science Department.
The admissions are taken through the REAP counseling according to the State Government guidelines. The form can be filled out online or offline at the campus itself. The merit list for admission is provided by the REAP coordinator.
Eligibility Criteria: The student should have appeared for the JEE (Mains) exam. Or he/she should have cleared the 12th standard exams. The first priority for admission is given to the students who have appeared for their JEE (Mains) exams and have provided the rank certificate at the time of the registration and then the students with only 12th standard results are considered to offer the seats.
The students should have scored at the least 45% in class XII examinations and for the reserved category, the same is 40%.
Seat Allotment:70% of seats are allotted to the aspirants from the state of Rajasthan itself. 15% of seats are allotted to the aspirants from other states of India. And 15% of the seats are allotted by the college management.
Reservations: 5% extra seats are reserved for the candidate of Rajasthan whose parents earn less than Rs. 6 Lakh per annum. It comes under TFW Scheme.

Global Institute of Technology has a unique team of members working under the Training & Placement Cell at the institute to provide the students with the best internship and placement opportunities. The cell works for the training of the students who are to appear for the placement procedure at the end of their course at the college. The cell works on certain collaborations and on creating links with certain institutions to organize workshops and seminars to train the students. The cell works closely with corporate houses and industries to bring them in for the campus placements of the students. The T&P cell is responsible for conducting the placement procedure at GIT smoothly.
More than 150 companies visit the college each year for student placements. To date, the highest package offered at the institute is Rs. 35 lakh per annum. Even two of the students from GIT were placed in Google in 2017 with a package of 32 lakh per annum. Some of the recruiters which visit the campus of GIT for student placement are IBM, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Genpact, Eicher, Honda Logistics, Accenture, Airtel, Yamaha, HP, HCL, Oppo, Westin Electromech, App Direct, Aricent, etc.
There are some programs at GIT in which the student has to go under some mandatory training in the industry as well as field visits for preparing them for the future awaiting them.
Global Institute of Technology is spread over a surface area of 10 acres of land. The campus of GIT is a green campus with a lot of plants all around. It has a state-of-art infrastructure. The campus is fully air-conditioned through a centralized system. The facilities available at the institute for students are:
Hostel: There are seven different buildings for hostels that are fully air-conditioned with double and triple occupancy. There are separate hostels available for boys and girls. The rooms are spacious with all basic needs like study tables, beds, books shelves, and attached restrooms. The laundry plant is also there for laundry needs of the students. And the hostels are Wi-Fi enabled.
Library: the library at GIT is fully air-conditioned and is installed with all the modern facilities. The library has a collection of more than 50,000 books with the subject matter of science, management, technology, engineering, and humanities. It has 5000+ reference books with both national as well as international titles. They have a subscription to more than 100 magazines and journals that are read nationally and internationally. The library at GIT has memberships of DELNET, Indian Society for Tech. Education, and Science Direct.
Digital Library: The library at the GIT has more than 30 computer systems accessible to the students with the access to all the E-Journals with subscriptions and NPTEL. The systems are installed with the latest hardware and software for smooth usage without any disturbance. The library is Wi-Fi enabled for providing wireless internet access.
Mess facility: The food at the canteen of GIT is of high quality, cooked by practicing all the hygiene norms. The ambiance of the canteen is very welcoming for the students. The canteen at GIT serves a variety of food which makes it a popular spot for the students on the campus.
Sports: Facilities for outdoor as well as indoor games are available at the GIT campus. The teams from the college go for representing the college on all levels. There are separate courts for volleyball, kabaddi, hockey, football, basketball, etc. at the college. And a few indoor games are also available for the students like carom, chess, etc.
Transportation:Transportation facilities from all the major points of the Jaipur city are provided by the institute for the day scholars to commute on a regular basis to the college without any inconvenience.
Global Institute of Technology was established in the year 2010. This was founded as the capacity expansion, and the first shift carries out different courses in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronic Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Science and Engineering. In the year 2012-13, the introduction of the second shift was done.

The learning resource center or library has an air-conditioning facility and equipped with modern aids. The library comprises of the latest books in the field of engineering, sciences, humanities, technology, and management. It also has subscription of almost 275 journals and 138 reputed international and national journals, as well as magazines and hosts a good volume of audio-visual material, CD-ROM database, online lectures video, and tutorials. There is a digital library with 35 computers and Wi-fi facility so that students can access to NPTEL and E-Journals.
All the activities are fully computerized, including acquisition, circulation, cataloging using the BLISS software package. Admission to B. Tech program is made through the centralized counseling through REAP (Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process). For candidates of Rajasthan, 70% of the total seat intake isthrough JEE mains rank merit and class XII merit. For candidates outside Rajasthan, 15% is filled through JEE mains rank merit, and 5% of the total seat intake is done through Management quota.
Admission in M.Tech is conducted through centralized online counseling conducted by Rajasthan Technical University CAM (Centralized Admission for M.Tech/ M.Arch).
The priority order is as follows
A) Valid GATE score with an engineering degree from recognized institution/university or equivalent.
B) Postgraduate degree (M.Sc/MCA) with valid GATE score.
C) Marks of UG areconsidered in case of candidatesnot falling in the above categories. Admission in Ph. D is done through centralized online counseling conducted by Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, on the basis of written exam and interview.
