I don’t know what Infosys has seen in the college that they hire students from GCET like anything. We are prepared for their aptitude tests even though we were from mechanical but had no choice had to join the training. Nearly 50% students including all departments cleared the tests and more than half of them irrespective of the branch they were in, they were happily taken by Infosys. The very next day college spends thousands of bucks to advertise the same in every newspaper circulated in Gujarat. More and more students are attracted this way and apply for GCET as they feel they will be working at Infosys after doing engineering from here.Read Full Review

Not just the established names but many start-ups too join the placement community. The placement cell or community has reservations for choices made by students and industrial visits and training sessions at the college made it rather easy to show the skill-set during the placement round. Among all the other colleges in Gujarat, GCET has its own way of placement like one student can appear for as many interviews and can keep his/her options open. The average placement was Rs. 4-5 Lakhs and some multinationals even offered thrice the average placement to the ones who deserved. For BE the placement of this quality and numbers was a huge takeaway of GCET.Read Full Review
