United University, Allahabad established in 1998 is a Private University. United University Allahabad is approved by UGC. Admission in United University is offered in Engineering, Management and Humanities at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
For United University Admission, one initially has to undergo the registration process, which can be filled online too. For the registration process, one has to fill in the applicant’s details and then save the same. After, saving the form, the application fee shall be paid. Different departments of the university have set different criteria for admission. Such as the pre-requisites of getting admission into the PhD program, one has to appear in the main exam as well as the interview. Whereas, the medical department requires the student to appear in NEET Exam. However, admission is secured on a merit-cum-first come first serve basis irrespective of any department. The documents required to submit during the admission procedure are 10th and 12th mark sheets, graduation degree certificates (for a doctoral programme), school leaving certificate, aadhar card, birth certificate and photographs used in the 10th board registration forms.
Before talking about the scholarships, let us first degree the fees of the University as it is the basis on which the scholarship program is based. In this article, we would only discuss the first-year fees of the students. For M.Sc. it is INR 55,000; for PhD. INR 63,000; for BBA INR 80,000; for MBBS INR 15.76 Lakhs; for B.Tech. INR 1.2 Lakhs; for B.Tech. (Hons.) INR 1.2 Lakhs and for MBA it is INR 1.25 Lakhs.
Let us now discuss the eligibility of students to avail of the scholarships offered by the University. If the candidate scores more than 90% marks in the qualifying exam, then he or she is awarded a scholarship of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 30, 000; which again depends on the precise score of the candidate. Students scoring 75 to 89.9% marks are awarded a scholarship of Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 20,000. Lastly, the candidates scoring 65-74.9% marks in the qualifying exam are given a scholarship of Rs. 5000 to Rs. 10,0000. As it is clear, the scholarship is mainly awarded on a merit basis.

To aid students in landing a decent job, United University Placement has a centre called Cooperate Relations Centre. The Centre helps the students in achieving suitable training to get a prior experience in jobs so that getting placement becomes relatively easier for them. In the second year of their graduation, the aptitude of the students is tested through exams and tests. Whereas, in their final years, the students are undergone interviews and training so that they get a mock experience of sitting for the placement. The United University, Allahabad also consists of a committee called Career Development Lab (CDL) which helps students in sharpening their soft skills such as communication, finances, negotiation and the list never ends. This, in a subtle way, makes students ready for getting a decent job in mainly corporate sectors that require these core skills. Moreover, students from all the streams are also required to undergo compulsory industrial training, which would add an experience to their corporate journey.

Regarding Infosys, for the last ten years, the university has highest number of students getting placed in the same. It also has the largest hub of joint centres as far as the area of east Uttar Pradesh is concerned. With accreditation with TATA Consultancy Limited and collaboration with Infosys for on and off-campus recruitments, the University is setting new goals for success. The University gives ample opportunities to the students to make their college life worthy, beautiful and memorable. United University has a food court with the largest possible food varieties, plus, the university has a lot of scope in sports activities, as has perfect infrastructure for both, indoor and outdoor sports. Other than that, United University also has a cultural exchange program which is the most exciting and fun part of one’s college life. The campus consists of hostels for both boys and girls and outsiders visiting the college. The classrooms are also well-equipped and technology-driven to meet the needs of the present-day conditions, particularly the pandemic. Moreover, the campus has the facility of Wi-Fi too, so that students and staff can make the best possible use of it. There is a library that has a plethora of books to aid students in their research, academics and even leisure time where they want to explore novels and other books. Further, the 250 acres area of the university also has laboratories (as it consists of science students too), a parking lot, an auditorium and a sports area. The University also has a transport facility for the better conveyancing of staff and students.
