Woxsen University was established as the Woxsen School of Business in 2014. It was known as a Private University in 2020, one of the first private universities in the state of Telangana, Hyderabad. It is considered to be amongst the leading educational institutes in India formed by the five constitutional schools, Woxsen School of Business, Woxsen School of Arts and Design, Woxsen School of Technology, Woxsen School of Architecture and planning, School of Law, and lastly the Woxsen School of Liberal Arts and Humanities.
Woxsen University courses are offered for undergraduation, and post-graduation programs are designed for research and experimental learning. The graduate programs include B.Tech, BBA, B.Com with Honors, B.Des with Honors, B.Arch, BA with honors, BA-LLB with honors, and BBA-LLB with honors. The post-graduation programs include three MBA streams: general, financial services, and business analytics. The Doctoral program offer Ph.D. in business management, designing, engineering, and technology.
The campus with all these schools is widespread across 200 acres with residential facilities for the students. It is an eco-friendly campus with lush green in Sadashivpet, about 60 kilometers from Hyderabad. A taxi can be hired to reach the campus. The Woxsen University admissions have eligibility criteria for various programs and courses. For different UG programs, eligibility criteria are as B.Tech – Completed 12th or 10+2 in any discipline from the well-known science college with a minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, mathematics, and chemistry. Known the English language is compulsory. Entrance test scores of IIT JEE Mains, VITEEE, AP, and TS – EAMCET & MHT CET are considered. All students will have to appear for Woxsen JEET (W-JEET), and a better score will be considered.
BBA, B.com (Hons.), BA (Hons.) – Completed 12th or 10+2 grades with 50% aggregate from a recognized board. The applying candidates should appear for WAT – Woxsen Aptitude test, followed by a psychometric test and personal interview.
B.Des (Hons.) – Completed 12th or 10+2 grades from recognized boards with 50% aggregate. Candidates must appear for WDT – Woxsen Design Test and a personal interview.
BA-LLB and BBA-LLB (Hons.) – Completes 12th or 10+2 from a recognized board with 50% aggregate. CLAT/LSAT or any state law entrance test/WAT entrance test scores are considered.
B.Arch – 60% aggregate in 12th or 10+2 scheme of examination with 50% aggregate in physics, chemistry, and maths. 10+3 diploma exam with mathematics as a compulsory subject is also considered. NATA entrance test score or JEE Mains (||) is mandatory.
For PG programs, the eligibility is as follows:
MBA (General, Business analytics, Financial services) – UG in BE, B.Tech (CSE), or any bachelor's degree in computer application/statistics/maths/IT services. With 50% aggregate from any recognized university/college/institute for Business analytics, general from any discipline, and 60% for financial assistance. UG in B.Tech (CSE and or B.com is sufficient for financial services. Working professionals can apply as well.
Ph.D. (Full time/executive) – The statutory regulatory body required a Master's degree or a similar professional degree, and you received a 55% aggregate score on it. Entrance test scores accepted from WRET – Woxsen Research Entrance Test or scores from UGC_NET (including JRF/CSIR/ICMR/GATE cleared within 2 years.
Other skills required for application are domain prowess, learning interests, fluency in English speaking, and excellent communication skills.
The Woxsen University admissions process is a simple four-step process starting with submitting the application online. After that, the students must submit the entrance test scores referring to the eligibility norms. A personal interview with a psychometric round will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates.
