IIEST is second oldest Engineering Institute in India. Alumni network is very strong and campus life is too good. Connectivity is also very good Howrah, Salimar and Sealdah stations are very near to the institute and airport is also less than 10 KM away. Research opportunities are too good and placements are also very nice. I took admission in this institute because it is oldest, faculties are very good as well as very good research opportunities and placements are also good compared to other NITs.Read Full Review

IIEST shibpur (formerly known as Bengal Engineering College or BESU) comes under the tag of Institute of national importance. To get admission, you need to apply through JEE Mains AIR ranks. This institute provides all B.Tech, M.Tech and P.HD courses. It came at 46 positions in recent NIRF ranking. The college was started in the year 1856 making it the 2nd oldest engineering college in India with alumni all around the world in all fields imaginable.
