Government Polytechnic Pune: Admission 2025, Fees, Scholarship

Government Polytechnic Pune was formed in the year 1957. It is an Autonomous Institute of Government of Maharashtra. The College is approved by AICTE and provides diploma courses in the field of Engineering and Design.

Vision: The College was set-up with a vision to work for the betterment of the society by producing self-sustained, inventive, multitalented, and mindful engineers.

Mission: Its mission is to provide updated education and world-class infrastructure facilities to students and to work for the constant development of the entire fraternity.

The college runs diploma programs in different disciplines like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT, Electrical Engineering, Dress Design and Garment Manufacturing, Computer Engineering, and more.

Students are selected through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for admission in the Diploma courses in different engineering disciplines. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria are considered for admission in the college. The eligibility criteria necessary for getting admitted here is that a student should have scored 35% or higher marks in 10^th class or any other exam considered equal to it. Applicants who are not residents of Maharashtra are eligible for institute level seats.

Students should keep the following documents ready at the time of admission:

• SSC Mark sheet
• School Leaving Certificate from the last attended school
• Income Certificate / Non Creamy / EWS Validity (as per the category)
• Intermediate Grade Drawing Examination Certificate (If applicable)
• ITI / HSC / HSC Vocational mark sheet and Leaving Certificate (If required)

The College grants Swanath Scholarship Scheme of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi to the orphan students or those students whose parents either father or mother or both have died in the Covid-19 pandemic or whose parents have lost their life while being in commission in the armed forces and central paramilitary forces. To apply for this scheme, the annual family income should not exceed Rs. 8,00,000. The College students can avail one scheme for an academic year either from NPS portal of the Central Government or the DBT portal of the State Government.

Some of the other scholarships supported by the college are: Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojana, Post-Matric Scholarship, Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship for SC and ST students, Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna for Open and SEBC category and Hostellers, and more.
