Bhupal Nobles University [BNU], Udaipur established in 1923 is a Private University. BNU Udaipur is approved by UGC. Admission in Bhupal Nobles University is offered in Management, Humanities and Science at UG/ PG/ Diploma/ Doctorate level.
Bhupal Nobles University was given university status in 2017 but their history dates back to 1923, when they started with a primary school. It’s the Vidya Pracharani Sabha Trust that took this initiative and still backs the university as they are the main sponsors of the university. The school that the Trust started was transformed into a college in 1954. This is how the group’s first college was formed known as Bhupal Nobles College. Years later the same college transformed into a PG College and is today one of the premiere colleges of Rajasthan. Many more such initiatives kept on happening and one of the most revolutionary things that happened was the establishment of Bhupal Nobles Post Graduate Girls' College which was established in 1995.
The expansion kept on happening and finally in 2017, the university became a dream. The current chairperson of the university is Prof. Jeewan Singh Ranawat. The university is located in the main city and has a campus area of 30 acres. The university offers courses in various disciplines such as Pharmacy, Engineering, Science, Law, Education, Social Sciences & Humanities, and Engineering among others. The university provides economic aids to the deserving students and thereby is doing a noble job in not just providing excellent education but also providing scholarship to the ones who prove their mettle.
Bhupal Nobles University admissions are merit based as all the colleges of the university have their criteria. Like the Pharmaceuticals College eligibility is PCB compulsory subjects in 10+2 and 12th pass certificate. Likewise, for their commerce & management college 10+2 pass from Science or Commerce stream with a minimum of 45%. For PG programs of commerce and Management College like M. Com, the eligibility is graduate in commerce with a minimum of 48%. The faculty of Engineering has fewer seats as CSE is the only steam offered with 2 more specialization and total number of seats for all three courses is 40 in each. The eligibility criteria is a minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 and must have PCM as mandatory subjects.

Admissions are subject to the seats available and number of students applying. The cut-off list is declared on their site and one can check whether they have made the cut or not.

Bhupal Nobles University placements are done on a large scale as the university believes a lot of planning is required for a progression pathway. The university’s Placement cell has done a terrific job so far as first it trains students and identity their future goals. After that it take necessary steps by providing them an able internship. There are many advisors sitting in placement cell who provides support and guidance to the students to equip them with all the critical practical skills and qualities that are required in the corporate culture.
The placement cell is in place not just for providing placements but also in giving counselling, career guidance, and overall personality development of the students of Bhupal Nobles/ Vidya Pracharini Sabha. Most students that study here are from Mewar region and the institution was built in particular for the students of Mewar and neighbouring places. Some guidance or a proper career counselling play a main role in development of students. Students are prepared for the interviews and as per last year data, 137 students participated in the placement drive and out of which 48 were selected for the next rounds. The sample size is small as of now as the university was established in 2017 but if we take the group performance as a whole since its inception then the placements are awesome in power.
Bhupal Nobles University facilities are immense and does full justice to its name with the kind of facilities that it provides. First thing first and that is the campus location. It is in the middle of the city and thereby one doesn’t have to worry at all of travelling to outskirts of the city as most universities are in outskirts. Everything is majestic over here starting from the auditorium which is named as Kumbha Hall. The digital library of the campus looks like a modern-day cybercafé. Since, the university has been given a royal touch; a Bhupal Nobles Museum too has been built inside the campus. For students unwinding there’s a swimming pool in place known as Maharana Raj Singh Taran Taal.
There are some executive boys and girls hostels inside the campus. Students from nearby regions and various other places can have a comfortable and pleasant stay at the BNU hostels. There’s also a guest house at the campus known as Shakti Sadan BNU Guest House. Since, it’s a majestic land and Rajasthan is famous for its polo grounds, the university too have a polo ground or a Horse Riding academy. A superb gymnasium by the name Maharana Mahendra Singh is also there at the campus. The sporting facilities doesn’t end here as there is a 400-metre running track inside the campus. There are multiple play grounds too and a full-fledged cricket academy with players dugout in place. There’s greenery all around and the pathways light up the campus with its stunning street lights. In short, the campus is stunning with a majestic view.
