Situated in a peaceful environment at Garhwal and surrounded by natural views, Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University previously known as Himalayan Garhwal University was founded in 2016. UGC has approved the University. It is accredited by PCI, and BCI, and has AIU membership.

Students who desire to get admission in the various academic programs of the Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University are suggested to send their Application forms in the prearranged format gained from the Admission Cell of the University. They must send the form to the address of the University along with a Demand Draft of the prescribed amount in the favour of “Maharaja Agrasen Himalayan Garhwal University” payable at “Dehradun.” The University will verify the following documents from the original at the time of admission:
To obtain the Application Form from the website, candidates need to go to the “Admission” drop-down menu on the website and select the “Application Form” option. From the page directed tap on the “Download Application Form.” Download the form and fill out the details as instructed and sent it to the Admission office of the University. Admissions at the University in any academic program will be considered based on the merit as stated by the University. The University will conduct an entrance exam, personal interview, counselling, direct admission, or any other criteria specified to the requirements of a particular course. A merit list will be prepared of the candidates qualified for the MAHGEE followed by interviews and Group Discussions. To pursue MBA, candidates must have qualified in CAT / MAT.
Students get Merit Scholarship at the Garhwal University based on their academic performance in their respective programs. The value and number of scholarships will be suggested and decided by the Board of Governors and Board of Management every year.
