Bharath University (also known as Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research) [BIHER], Chennai established in 1984 is a Deemed to be University, currently having 91st position in NIRF Ranking 2024 and 551-600 score out of 760 in QS Asia 2023. BIHER Chennai is approved by AICTE, UGC, BCI, COA, DCI, INC, NMC (MCI), PCI and SIRO, and is accredited by NAAC-A. The glorious journey of Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research was started in the year 1984 as Bharath Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai. The institute got its status as Deemed to Be University by UGC in the year 2002. The institute is also approved by AICTE. Legal authorities like BCI, COA, INC, DCI, MCI, PCI, SIRO, NAAC, and NBA have accredited the institute.
The institute regularly strived to give quality research and academic environment for learners so that they can acquire professional competencies and human dignity. To study in BIHER, interested applicants need to visit the official webpage and click on the “Admission” tab. A new page will open on their screens where they can click on the desired course tab to open the registration page. They can fill out the particulars and tick the box to obtain additional information about the application. They will receive a verification email after which they can complete the Application Form. The last step is to pay the fees and submit the Application.
*International students have to go to the International section where they can find the “Apply Now” tab in the “Admission” menu. On clicking the tab they will be taken to a new window where they will find the “BIHER Admission for International Students” tab. They must click on it after which they will be directed to a Google form that needs to be filled out and submitted by them.
Students studying in BIHER are eligible to claim Merit Based Scholarship if they qualify for the terms and conditions set up by the University.
