LJ Institute of Pharmacy [LJIP], Ahmedabad was established in the year 2004 as a Private Educational Institution. LJIP Ahmedabad is approved by PCI and AICTE, and is affiliated with GTU, Ahmedabad. LJ Institute of Pharmacy offers admission in the field of Pharmacy at UG/ PG/ Doctorate level. Prof. B. M. Peerzada is the Founder & Managing Trustee.
LJ Institute of Pharmacy also known as LJIP came into existence in 2004. The institution is accredited by the GTU, AICTE, and the Indian Pharmacy Council. The DSIR department has also approved this college as a scientific research institution. The college received a 3-star rating, placing it 5th among all the pharmacy schools in Gujarat in the most recent GSIRF (Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework) ranking. Pharmacists are growing to be a crucial component of the healthcare sector and contributing to its success.
LJIP offers UG-level B.Pharma, PG-level M.Pharma, and Ph.D. level pharmacy courses. After 12th grade, one of the best career-focused courses among science students is the B.Pharm. The B.Pharma course lasts for 4 years and the student learns about drugs and medications. Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacology, and Regulatory Affairs are a few subjects in the M.Pharma.
LJIP takes online applications for admissions through the LJU portal. The students can fill out the application and provide a working email ID. The email address provided at registration will be used for all communications. Students have to keep one thought in their mind that there is no refund for the application form fee.
Eligibility criteria are as follows:
B.Pharma: After passing the 12th, students who are interested in the medical field (but not in becoming doctors) can enroll in this course. The 12th pass with a minimum grade of 45% in the Science stream is asked.
M.Pharma: Bachelors in Pharmacy with a minimum grade of 55% will get you admitted to the college.

LJ Institute of Pharmacy is a part of LJ University, which has a dedicated training and placement cell run by LJ Career Development Services. The students receive guidance that includes training and workshops on tech and non-tech topics. To make a student industry-ready, a variety of techniques are used. It includes mock aptitude tests and interviews. Lectures by industry experts and industry visits help students in gaining exposure.
The students have been placed at Nestle India, Sun Pharmaceuticals, and INTAS. Torrent Pharmaceuticals and Novartis have also visited the campus to hire brilliant pharmacists. The community, hospitals, clinics, and pharmaceutical industry are the places where one can find young graduates of pharmacy.
The Pharmaceutical Industry Institute Linked Lecture Series, also known as PIILLS, is the umbrella organization under which LJIP hosts a lecture series. These lectures have been a part of the courses, and they were added to help students. They can learn and close the knowledge gap in students and professionals.
LJ Institute of Pharmacy covers 2.5 acres and has all the amenities in that area. More than 30 rooms, including laboratories, classrooms, and lab prep rooms, support the teaching and learning process. Multimedia projectors are also available in many classrooms.
Along with these, the college has a centre with 100+ computer systems and high speed internet. There is also a machine room, a central instrument room, and an animal house. A museum, an auditorium, and seminar hall along with an herbal garden can also be seen in the campus.
