KK Modi University [KKMU], Durg established in 1933 is a Private University. KKMU Durg is approved by UGC. Admission in KK Modi University is offered in Engineering, Management and Computer Applications at UG/ PG/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
KK Modi University (KKMU) situated in Durg, Chhattisgarh, is known to be one of the best private universities all over India. KKMU is sponsored by a society named Modi Innovative Education. It is recognized by the UGC. KKMU is known to be the pioneer since 2001 to bring in the international education for Indian students. The university has been awarding an American accredited degree in India. They have collaborations with some well-known international universities. They are Stratford University, Paris School of Art, UC Davis, Hochschule Luzern, and Virginia Commonwealth.
The university offers various UG, PG, Ph.D., as well as Diploma in numerous streams. There are a total of 5 schools at KKMU offering different courses for the students to be pursued. They are, namely, KKMU Engineering, Management, Science, Design, and Hospitality School. Some of the streams in which KKMU offers courses are Accounts, Business Analytics, AI, Cyber Security, Communication Design, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Hotel Management, Fashion Management, IoT, Supply Chain Management, and many more to be named.
At KK Modi University Chhattisgarh they also offer numerous certificate courses in various streams. And these are affiliated with Harvard and other foreign universities. Some of them are Business Case development, Customer Focus, Decision Making, Career Management, Delegating, Digital Intelligence, Leading people, Team Creation, Retaining Employee, and many more to be mentioned. These certificate courses are for two different time durations of 3 months and 6 months, the student can opt for any they choose. There are some advanced certificate courses as well.
Applying at KK Modi University is a very simple procedure. It is a 3 step procedure to apply at the university, it is as follows:
Step 1: Visit the website and apply online. The student has to fill out all the information required and at the end has to make a payment to complete the process.
Step 2: The applicant is informed via email and SMS. Then they have to log in and fill out all the remaining details and submit the form.
Step 3: A few scanned copies of documents have to be attached to the form while submitting it.
KKMU Admission Test
The student has to appear for the KKMU admission test or GDPI which is conducted at the campus of the university. This admission test is only applicable if the student has not appeared for any State or National level examinations like JEE/ MAT/ CAT/ XAT.
Eligibility Criteria
For UG and Diploma & Certificate programs: A minimum of 50% marks are required in class 12th results from a recognized board for admission at KKMU. This is for the students belonging to the general category.
For PG programs: Prior completion of a graduation course is required as a minimum requirement to any of the post-graduate courses at KKMU. Minimum 50% aggregate marks are required for the students belonging to the general category.
An entrance test of the KKM University is required or an appearance in XAT/ ATMA/ MAT/ CAT/ CMAT is required. And it is then followed by a personal interview and a group discussion for post-graduate admissions.
Note: Extra 5% relaxation is provided for the eligibility criteria of the students belonging to the reserved category as well as for the specially abled students. It is also applicable on the wards of Para Military, Defense Personnel, Single girl child, and War widows. And to the students belonging to the hill states of India, for example, J&K, Chhattisgarh, North Eastern States of India, etc.
For International (NRI) Students
The eligibility criterion for international students is the same as that of Indian students. But for the equivalency of the qualifying examinations the AIU is considered.
KK Modi University offers scholarships to the meritorious students. Various scholarships are awarded to the students on the basis of their scores in the previous examinations. Which in the case of graduation it is class 12th and for PG it is graduation.
Note: The merit scholarship is applicable only for first year tuition fee. And then the continuation of the scholarship is decided by the university on the basis of the results obtained in examinations.
Special Scholarship: Extra 15% scholarship is provided by the university. It is only applicable to the tuition fee for 1st year.

KK Modi University has a cell that works for student internships which later many times leads to placements. The cell is known as the KKMU Co-op which works for getting the best of internship opportunities for the students. The main aim of the KKMU co-op is to design the academics in such a way that would lead to overall development of the candidate. Keeping in mind the requirements of the industry awaiting them. The institute provides a chance for students to explore the industry in the form of internships. And this eventually helps the candidates to acquire skills in the competitive world. Thus it increases the chances of the student to get opportunities for placements as compared to other graduates. The course structure at KKMU is quite flexible which allows students to do internships for a longer time if required. For a few courses like MBA, BBA, B.Com, at the university, it is a compulsion for the students to do internships.
The KKMU office works with the students to build a desirable portfolio. It also helps the students in the development of a resume. Mock interviews are conducted by the university for the practice of the students. The office also supports the funding for students who want to become entrepreneurs.
