The Office of Career Counselling and Placement (OCCaP), handles the placement of the students at IISc. Students interested in applying for campus placement must share their information in the OCCaP pre-registration form on the OCCaP portal. Students must remember to upload their CVs in pdf format onto the portal. OCCaP will then notify students and send their CVs to the recruiters. Job descriptions are also published on the portal, by which interested applicants can apply for the recruitment process of a company by applying to the portal. After this, recruiters will schedule Presentations, Tests, and interviews, and the shortlisted candidates will get their desired jobs. All Placement activities on campus such as Pre-placement talks, industry interaction, placement policy, post placement, internships, etc. are through OCCaP.

Some past recruiters of the institute include big names like Tata Consultancy Services, IBM, Mahindra, Microsoft, Bajaj, Intel, KPMG, Delta, Flipkart, Tata Motors, Toshiba, Qualcomm, etc.

The IISc campus is spread over 440 acres of land. Students of the institute are furnished with many facilities making IISc campus a self-contained campus. JN Tata Auditorium with a seating capacity of 750 people and Satish Dhawan Auditorium with the capacity to accommodate 250 people are constructed in the campus in which different cultural and other events are organised. Besides these two, the other auditorium and halls present in the campus include Choksi Hall, Computational Data Sciences Seminar Hall, Materials Research Centre Auditorium, Aerospace Engineering Auditorium, SSCU Auditorium, and RBCCPS Seminar Hall. In addition to these, some other facilities available at IISc campus are listed in the following points below:

• Library: J.R.D. TATA Memorial Library at IISc Bangalore is housed in a four story building at the centre of the campus. It was established in the year 1911, and is one among the oldest libraries in India. The Library’s collection is rich and valuable, comprising of rare reference materials and back volumes of a variety of significant journals. The total collection of the printed resources of the library is nearly 5 lac including books, periodicals, thesis, monographs, technical reports, and more. In addition to the wide collection of the printed resources, it has subscribed to over 750+ e-journals and provides access to over 8000+ e- journals through e-Shodh Sindhu Consortium (INFLIBNET).
• Hostel: Hostel accommodation is provided to students with single and double occupancy rooms. Hostlers are served both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food in the four dining halls.
• Eateries: A restaurant named Nesara is functioning near the Canara bank located within the campus. Students can order breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and different food items as per their choice. To meet the day-to-day requirements of the students, a supermarket is also exists on the institute’s premises. A café and a tea kiosk are also functioning in the campus.
• Medical Facility: A Health Centre has been provided in the campus for extending primary health care services to both students and staff. It is located on the south west end of the campus. In-patient treatment and emergency care are provided to the students and staff, and also to their families and other residents in the campus. The Health Centre is equipped with facilities like Dental unit, Clinical Laboratory, Operation Theatre, radiology department, Ultrasound Unit, etc. It has 4 permanent doctors and 5 authorised medical officers to provide medical treatment. To look after patients overnight, a night duty doctor is also appointed.
• Sports: The institute has a Gymkhana in the campus to relieve the students of academic burden. The Gymkhana is equipped with the various facilities for indoor and outdoor games, dance, music, recreational library and many more things. There is a Swimming Pool, Badminton Court, Kung fu Court, and many more facilities available in it.
• Other Facilities: Amenities Hall, Transport facility, Book shops, Baby care centre, Banks, Post Office, Xerox Centers, etc.
