SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Navi Mumbai is one among the seven campuses established in the year 2017. NMIMS was initially started as a Management Institute in 1981 with its main campus located at Mumbai. It started with a donation from Narsee Monjee Educational Trust. NMIMS Navi Mumbai is approved by AICTE and UGC with a ‘Deemed-to-be-University’ status.

Admissions to all UG programs are through the UG entrance exam (Computer based online exam) conducted every year by NMIMS at different centers. The entrance exam is categorised into three sections:

Selection of the candidates is as per the merit list prepared according to the performance of the candidates in the entrance exams. For engineering courses, students will be called for counseling as per the merit obtained by them. Candidates qualified in the SAT / ACT exam are also eligible for admission to the institute.
Students seeking admission in MBA course from NMIMS Navi Mumbai must appear in the NMAT by GMAC™ test followed by a Written Analytic Test along with Personal Interview taken offline. The criteria for shortlisting the candidates are based on the merit secured by the candidates in the entrance test.
Under the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students, scholarships are awarded to the talented students who are financially weak and belong to the reserved category (SC / ST / physically handicapped). The scholarships are awarded based on the marks obtained by the students in the 12th exam. Students scoring above 80% and having family income below 6,00,000 lac annually are eligible for these scholarship. The rate of scholarship is different for UG and PG level. To renew the scholarships, students must apply online on the e-Governance Scholarship Portal.
