The teachers are knowledgeable and well-educated. Most of them have Ph.D and are specialists in their subjects, such as in Business, Law, etc. Their teaching style is very professional and scoring is also very moderate. Our faculty is made up of a combination of permanent and visiting professors, who have experience in the industry. Thus, are able to aptly teach us the skills necessary to thrive in the media industry. They discourage rote learning and rather encourage us to do our own research and come to conclusions through discussions and debates. Peer-to-peer learning is greatly encouraged with the professors stimulating free flowing discussions in the classroom and ensuring an environment where students feel free to ask questions. Our knowledge is tested in multiple ways through the written end sem examinations that test our theoretical knowledge while group projects and presentations test other essential skills like team work and public speaking.Read Full Review

The faculty at Xavier’s Mumbai is highly experienced and approachable. Many of the professors are industry professionals who have been working since a long time and know how the particular sector operates. Hence, having knowledge of recent job trends in the market. Moreover, the HODs are highly qualified and have at least 15 years of experience. The teachers are from diverse backgrounds and from different states of India; because of so much diversity the discourse used while teaching is highly inclusive and do not try to discriminate with anyone. Their teaching styles are very innovative, easy to comprehend and activity based, as they are focused more on practical learning. The faculty also encourages us to do a ton of internships during our vacations and guides us in the best way possible with the contacts and help needed.
