Vidyasagar College for Women is a Government aided college, affiliate with University of Calcutta. It was established in 1960 but the college started its journey in 1931 when an individual women section of Vidyasagar College was started to educate the women of our society. The college is re-accredited at the “B++ (with CGPA- 2.79) level” by NAAC (cycle- 2) 2017. It is a morning college, running between 7 am.to 12 pm.

it was founded by the great social activist of 19th century, Iswarchandra Vidyasagar. It was a part of India’s women history as the college plays an important role to educate women of subservient India.
