Sophia College for Women Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Mumbai

Sophia provides a hostel for students who are from overseas or from other states. I haven't stayed in the hostel but I had friends who stayed there. The mess is clean but sometimes the food is not up to the mark. But one notable thing about the hostel is that- It is far better, safe, and hygienic than other College hostels in Mumbai. A room is provided and is to be shared between 3 people. The rooms are big and airy. Also, non-hostilities were never allowed in the hostel premises. There is this roll call system every evening at around 7 or 8. Each student has to be present for this. In case anybody wishes to go out of the hostel, they have to give an application with the sign of a guardian or parent.Read Full Review

Sophia College Mumbai has a great hostel but the rooms are available only on three-seater facilities. One doesn’t have a choice but to stay with two other girls. The hostels are in a way fine as the rooms are good but because I was non-hosteller I was not allowed inside the premises as it was that strict. 7 pm was strict in time and warden used to check girl’s room and if any girl was absent straightaway a call was given to her parents or guardians.Read Full Review

I did not attend the hostel during my tenure at Sophia College, however from what I have heard from my friends, they tell me sisters are very supportive, you will make amazing friends, and it will be like your second home.
