The course is fine but the college offers various opportunities to its students to not just learn the subjects but to develop one’s own personalities here. Being a marketing student, all we were taught was how to sell. So, if we can’t sell ourselves forget the products or services that we sold. After the completion of the course, the first thing that others observed in me was that there was a great amount of change in me. Change in perspective of how I used to look at things then and after the completion of the course. My gut feeling with academics at IMM was that they have designed the best curriculum because we were up with the industry demands and studying about their supply chains and demand is what we studied. During interaction with corporate houses which happened often at IMM as seminars were regular things at IMM. I saw the very second week the faculties asked us to join the college on Sunday for an extra lecture and that sent me a message that the college doesn’t care about being scared of calling students on the only day they had off. So, I knew I will be overcooked to the top because getting through the PGDM course is by no means a joke. These days industry demands are high as they need students that are skilled both technically and commercially. For marketing students, a mandatory social internship program was there. In this program, we had to connect with random people as this was the beauty of the task. If we couldn’t socialize, there’s no way, we can learn marketing. So, a lot of effort and time has to be spared off campus to learn the things that were required for our course. The college carries a 5-decade-long legacy and therefore no freebies were served here. The college’s placement was questioned when I joined and therefore the college took the extra measure in making the students skilled. The college had a bouquet of many courses but in all the courses students had to do a few skill development classes together on topics like Public speaking, TQP, and entrepreneurship.Read Full Review
