Apply Online: The first step of taking admission to MU is applying online through the university’s website. All the necessary instructions and guidelines are mentioned on the site, students have to read them carefully before filling out the form with a payment of INR 500, which can also be done online, through card, net banking, etc.

Apply Offline: The offline procedure to take admission to MU is also similar to the online process; students can print out the form, fill it out, and send it to the university’s office along with a DD of INR 500.  

Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for admission at Mangalyatan University vary from course to course, most of the mare based on the merit of10+2 or graduation qualification with a certain percentage. For professional & technical courses state/national-level entrance exam qualification is mandatory. After receiving the application forms, the university will approach itself about the eligibility rule they have for the required course.

Entrance Exam: For admission in a professional or technical course, students must qualify the state or national-level entrance exam like JEE, CAT, MAT, etc., or qualify for the entrance exam conducted by the university itself.

Interview: The selection process at Mangalayatan University involves two interviews- the first is a telephonic interview and the second is a video call interview. Students who qualify for both of these are shortlisted and move on to the next step.

Document Verification: After successfully filling up the application form, qualifying for both interviews, and fulfilling the eligibility criteria, counseling of students is done, and then to finalize the admission, students have to fill out the registration form with a fee amount decided by the university. Document verification is done before the mentioned date in the admission letter, which includes, mark sheets, certificates; address proof, identity proof, etc.

The university gives scholarships on a merit basis, on basis of reservation or minority (students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Parsi communities). Fee concessions are given to relatives of the university’s employees, differently-abled students, and additional concessions to female students. The University also provides fee waivers to the wards of freedom fighters and defense personnel.

The university welcomes students from all religions, castes, and creeds, but its focus tenet is Jainism, so it offers over 40% fee concession to Jain Students in all programs.
