Patna Women's College [PWC], Patna was established in the year 1940 as a Private Educational Institution, currently having 101-150 position in NIRF Ranking 2024. PWC Patna is approved by UGC, accredited by NAAC-A, and is affiliated with PU, Patna. Patna Women's College offers admission in the field of Management, Humanities and Science at UG/ PG/ Diploma level with scholarship benefits to deserving students. Patna Women's College was established in 1940. It aims at holistic development of the students by making an effective contribution towards the betterment of the society. PWC is the first women’s college in Bihar. It was declared as a Religious Minority College by the Government of Bihar. The Autonomous status was granted by UGC. It is a constituent college of Patna University which is accredited by NAAC with “A” grade.
Vision: To become a centre of excellence in social responsibility, higher education, and women empowerment.
Mission: To excel in research, consultancy, and teaching, creating women leaders, training the students in critical thinking, social service, leadership, and creative arts, promoting patriotism, cultural integration, and communal harmony, and developing value based and skill oriented courses.

The college has a Placement and Career Counseling Cell which guides, supports, motivates, and trains the students. The Cell gives pre-placement training, helps the students with group discussions and mock interviews, conducts sessions and workshops, organises interactive sessions etc. The Cell is responsible to conduct placement drives for the students.
