The Shri Vishwakarma Skill University started operations in 2016. It was previously known as the Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University. The SVSU Palwal is a State Public University which is approved by AICTE and UGC. SVSU University is recognised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT). In 2024, it was ranked at 2nd position in the ‘Skill University’ Category by the NIRF.

*In addition to above mentioned eligibility criteria, students must have also qualified CUET (except for B.Tech / M.Tech / Executive MBA / Diploma in Engineering or Vocational / PGDM). Also, candidates must be at least 18 years old for admission in the Out-Campus courses. However, there is no minimum age limit for admission in the In-Campus programs.

Admission Process
Candidates who fulfil the requisite eligibility for the desired program can apply for admission through online mode on the University’s official website.
The admission seats are offered to the students on the basis of various factors like merit marks obtained in the qualifying exam, CUET / GATE scores, Personal Interview, Group Discussion, Counselling, etc. It is to be noted that the selection criteria differ for all the courses.

Abhinandan: Veer Balidani Kritgayata Yojna (AVBKY)
Through this scholarship scheme, the SVSU Palwal aims to provide opportunities of skill-based education to the wards & spouses of the Martyrs and the Gallantry Award winners of the forces. This category includes services like Central Armed Police Forces, Armed Forces, and the State Police. This scholarship covers the Tuition Fee, Hostel Fee, Mess Fee, Uniform, and Railway Travel expense for travelling to & from (once a year).
