NIT Rourkela Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

Our hostel name is Hall of Residence. There are nine Halls of Residence, seven for boys and two for girls. It is considered as one of the biggest hostels in India. Reading room, TV room, gymnasium and sports facilities like table tennis, basketball, badminton, chess, and carom are available. The hostel view is literally good. Enjoying rainy days standing in the terrace is a loving experience. Mess facilities are good. The mess food is good but need some improvement. The hostels are all very big, with facilities like a day canteen, night canteen, gym, indoor sports, and air-conditioned study rooms. Hygiene is maintained properly. The hostel in-timing for girls is midnight, for boys, there are no such restrictions. All the hostels are mostly double sharing but some are triple and some single as well. Mess food is not that bad but not that good too.Read Full Review

Hostels in the campus are pretty good. They are clean, well-maintained, and regular disinfection occurs. The food though, is not that good and needs to be better.Read Full Review
