Khaja Bandanawaz University Gulbarga (KBNU) was established in the year 2018 by Khaja Education Society. The University was granted permanent minority status and is approved by UGC as a Private University. Currently, over 24 educational institutions are managed by the Khaja Education Society.

The Placement and Training Cell of the university is dedicated towards placing its students in the leading companies, by providing them necessary guidance and career-centric training. The Cell assists its students in acquiring technical and communication skills required for better placements. To ensure students get their dream jobs, it conducts various activities like Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP), workshops, industrial visits, educational tours, etc. The University has also signed MoUs with various industries including BHT Technologies LLP, Innovative Technologies, and more.
The KBN University campus is sprawled over 56676.57 square meters area. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and is equipped with several facilities catering to the education and living needs of both students and staff. There is an air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 750 people built in the campus to organise various programs and events. The management has also opened Khaja Banda Nawaz Souharda Co-operative Bank Limited to provide banking facilities to students.
