Presidency University Kolkata Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

There are 4 buildings, the main building, baker building, derozio building and NS (Netaji Subhash) building. The university playground is huge. There is also an Arts Library, a Central Library (which has almost all the books for academic learning), a Black Box Studio (for Performing arts department), a central computer laboratory, a gymnasium, 4 auditoriums: Derozio Hall (the largest), PC Mahalanobis Audiorium (second largest), AK Basak Auditorium and the Manik Bandopadhyay Auditorium. There is an in-house counselor and a medical unit too. There are total, 2 canteens : Srishti Canteen, and Purushottam Canteen, 1 cafe called Sukumar Da's Cafe, or Suku's cafe, and one Nescafe Shop.

The university has a really good crowd. There is absolutely no ragging within the campus. It is famous for the political critique by its students. There are 2 annual fests, ‘Ispat’ and ‘Icon’, held in September and December, respectively. The buildings are well maintained and strong. There are other amenities provided like library facilities and auditorium halls available for various educational purposes like hosting academic research paper readings or conducting any program. The books differ from department to department. Some departments refer to big books due to which students download the PDF of the book, while other departments require students to buy the books offline.

The campus life is very good and engaging, students can feel free. There is a positive energy in campus as everyone is really friendly. Studying in this university can make you be a better version of yourself. You will never feel left out. Events take place every month. The events of this university are well-known in Kolkata. It is situated in the core of the city Kolkata. But then also there is enough space for the college there are 6 major building. These are separated for different courses, different official works and Library. There are two canteens also and the most beautiful place in the campus is its field present in the middle of the campus.

There is a beautiful combination of education, sports and politics. Fests are organised often with different names and different themes. The name of the Fests is ISPAT and ICON. But the largest one is organised once in 3-4 years which us MILLIEU. West Bengal is famous for its culture and tradition so these fests are very important for us, where we find a perfect combination of Cultural activities along with sports and other things.Read Full Review
