Government Law College Thrissur

The Placement Committee at the Government Law College Thrissur supports the students & enlightens them about the future opportunities and placements by conducting webinars and events. The Career Guidance & Placement Cell provides guidance to the students in selecting the right career. It invites experts from several industries like corporate sectors, magistrates, advocates, etc. The students gain overall insights about the opportunities that are going to be popularly available in the future & are motivated to achieve the desired goals with dedication and hard work.

The Government Law College is located in Ayyanthole, Thrissur, and it has different academic centres on the campus including a legal service clinic, business law, academic innovation, and economic development. The classrooms are well-equipped with the latest projectors, smart boards, and other resources.

The following are the details about infrastructure and facilities at the college:

• Library: The library has approximately 37,182 books, around 40,000 titles, and nearly 20 journals, textbooks, reference books, reports, and e-journals. It has subscribed to several leading law journals, newspapers and magazines. The students get to refer to the leading law reports including Supreme Court Cases, All India Reporter, Kerala Law Times, and Consumer Law Journal to improve their legal knowledge. In addition, it has a round the clock Wi-Fi facility which is connected to nearly 24 computers in the nearby cyber station wherein the students and teachers can easily access the online databases. Other facilities include reprographic facilities.
• Moot Court: GLC Thrissur has established a well-equipped moot court that gives an opportunity to the students to improve their legal knowledge & skills through moot court sessions & competitions.
• Auditorium: The college has a capacious auditorium which is well-ventilated & equipped with the latest audio-visual systems. It is used for conducting events, clubs, cultural programs, and more.
• Seminar Hall: The college has a capacious seminar hall with adequate seat distribution. The hall is equipped with centralised air-conditioner, projector, screen, etc. It is used for conducting different academic programmes, national workshops, and international seminars.
• Other Facilities: Computer Lab, Sports.
