Developing employment skills and academic learning go hand-in-hand at BSDU. The university understands the significance of employment in student’s life and therefore, it has established a Training and Placement Cell. The cell focuses on providing the students with full-fledged practical and theoretical training so that they can become employable and industry-ready. Bhartiya Skill Development University is a State Private University incorporated vide GOR Act No. 3 of 2017 (BSDU Act). It is one of the first Universities in the country that offers skill programs. It provides Skill Certificate, Advance Diploma, Diploma, Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc), Ph.D. in various skill areas, and Master of Vocation (M.Voc). The programs of BSDU are as per the UGC instructions for Vocational Programs, National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), NSQF RPL (Recognition of Previous Learning) Guidelines, and AICTE Instruction for Vocational Programs, Guidelines of respective Sector Skill Councils (SSC), Skills Qualification Packs, and National Occupational Standards (NOS).
BSDU offers several courses in UG and PG. Candidates who take admission in UG course must qualify 10+2 from a recognized board. For PG courses, candidates should have passed the graduation from a recognized University. On the basis of Entrance Exam result, the admission is finalized. In any other course, admission depends upon the last qualifying exam merit.
KRC Knowledge Resource Center (Library) is a division of BSDU, Jaipur. It aims to serve the requirements of Research Scholars, Faculty, Students, and External Members. It acts as a center of literature mostly related to technology, engineering, management, agriculture, and related subjects. The satisfaction of the user is the basic purpose of Knowledge Resource Center Services.
KRC is immensely focused on academic, development, and research activities. It plays an eminent role in the development and distribution of scientific and technical information for meeting the present and future needs of different users. The resource center is completely refined with state of the art facilities providing online and digital resources. It holds Open Source Software KOHA for combined Library Management and D-space for building and updating Institutional Repository. Currently, the library has stock of several higher education branches such as Engineering, Management, skill development trades, and agriculture.
