R.V. College of Engineering

R.V. College of Engineering (Also Known as RVCE or Rashtreeya Vidyalaya College of Engineering) came into existence 6 decades back in the year 1963. When it started, it had just 3 branches and they were Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil. With changing times and demands of the nature of the engineering business, today, the college has 12 streams of Engineering under it. Apart from 12 UG programs, the college also has 16 programs in PG and PhD combines. The college is located on Mysore Road, the Silicon Valley of India. Around 7.5 miles from the main city of Bengaluru. The college has a sprawling campus that has an area of almost 17 acres. The surrounding of the college is sylvan.

RVCE Bangalore provides a peach of an ambience so that it can stimulate the learning and teaching process with ease. It helps in bringing out disciplined and skilled engineers. RVCE is a self-financed college that is rated among the best 10 self-financed colleges in India. The student in-take at R.V. College of Engineering Bangalore is over 1200 including UG, PG, and PhD program. To teach these 1200 students, many dedicated and qualified teachers have been roped in to teach these students the academics and some life lessons too. Many guest faculties are invited to make sure students have idea of what’s going on the world of sports, politics, and business.

RVCE Admissions to all three courses that it offers, i.e., B.E., MCA, and M. Tech have different selection criteria. Let’s discuss each of them in detail:

Eligibility for B.E. Program:

10th pass with minimum 70% in Mathematics & Science.
11th pass with minimum 65% in Physics and Mathematics.
12th pass with minimum 60%, in Mathematics and Physics.
Ranks of either of entrances COMEDK, KEA, JEE MAINS.

Eligibility for R.V. College of Engineering Course, M. Tech

Student should have passed B.E. or B. Tech from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks. For SC/ST students of Karnataka, the eligibility is 45% marks.

The student should have a required PGCET score or a GATE score.

The further process remains the same, as students can scan all the documents and mail it to college.

Eligibility for MCA Course

MCA admissions are open for the students who have passed any Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or BCA and have a bare minimum of 50 percent marks stands eligible for admissions. For SC/ST, students from Karnataka an aggregate of 45% will help.

Students has to provide a valid KMAT or PGCET score as without that the admissions will not be granted.

R.V. College of Engineering online admissions to MCA will be granted after you send all the required documents to respective email id. You will also have to write your mobile number for further communications.

RVCE provide sports scholarships to its students. From admissions to cash rewards to medical benefits, the students are provided various benefits as a part of their sports scholarship program.

Admissions

The college’s RSST (Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust) is always thoughtful while granting admissions to people who have done well in sports at any level.

Benefits

During campus recruitment, all the students who represent the college team at any game or sport will have special reservation for them.

Sportswear: All the students who represent the college in any games or sports will be provided suitable sportswear from track suits to co-ordinates.

Attendance: All the students who have represented the college in any Intercollege or university match will be marked present on the day they represent the team or individual capacity.

Extra Internal: If on any internal day, they miss the college, they will be given extra internal numbers.

Credits: Addition 2 credits will be given to the students who have represented the college and the same will reflect in their 4^th and 8^th semester results.

SCHOLARSHIPS

• The first-year students, who represent the college during the first year, are felicitated with a college blazer and if they continue to represent in the second year, they will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 2500. Likewise, if they represent in 3^rd & 4^th year too, they will be rewarded INR 3000 and INR 3500. Students of first year, who are selected to represents the VTU team are given blazer.

• Students or the team that wins university sports competition will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 12k. For the runners-up team or students, the reward is 10k. The students or the team that comes 3^rd and 4^th are awarded INR 7.5K and 1k respectively.

• RVCE also awards each student with a cash prize of INR 1500 for representing University, INR 2500 for representing the State & INR 5000 for representing at the National or International level competitions.

Apart from all the above benefits, the college also bears all the hospital expenses of the students if he suffers any injury while he is out for representing the college.
