All the students of RV Institute of Legal Studies undergo a compulsory twenty weeks training during their entire academic course of five years. Students work in various domains including NGOs, Trial and Appellate Advocates, Law Firms, Legislatures and Parliaments, Market Institutions, Companies, etc and get an understanding of various legal aspects.
In their training period, students get to apply their practical knowledge and get industry experience. They learn to conduct legal research, draft pleadings, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents in their internships. The college started its operations as a Private Institute offering professional courses in the field of law. The institute situated in the old-city of Bangalore Basavanagudi affiliates with the well-known Bangalore Institute of Legal Studies (BILS).
The increasing crime rates, matters of civil disputes and cybercrime rates indicates that there is a need for more specially trained, legal force to handle pending cases of courts. It was the driving force behind opening RV Institute of Legal Studies. The management of the Institute is working under Prof. Dr. Anjina Reddy KR, who is currently serving as the Director of the college.
