IIT Ropar Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

If you are looking out for this College, then you must have seen the iconic four pillar structure and the Spiral at its Entrance. These are inspired by the Ancient Indus Valley Civilisation. The other one is our Super Academics Building (SAB). It's Outstanding. We have all type of sports facilities ranging from indoor to outdoor. We have gym facilities and common room (having TV) at each hostel.

As I am in 1st year right now, so doesn't have many experiences of College Life. But whatever memory I have made till now is fabulous. There is lot of events organised in our college. Major of them are Zeitgeist (Cultural Fest), Advitya (Technical Fest), and Aarohan (Sports Fest). There is also Inter-Year Sports Competition (IYSC). In the campus there are 5 blocks which are: Ramanujan block of Computer Science, J.C block of Electrical Engineering, Satish Dhawan block for Mechanical Engineering, S.S. BHATNAGAR block for chemistry department and Super academic Block for Civil Engineering. In each block, there is a lot of equipment for study purpose. All the blocks are built according to the latest models and their infrastructures are of modern world.

The overall campus life is chill. In the morning when we get up, we get a pleasant sound of hummingbirds. Then we go to the mess where we eat delicious food. Then we go for the classes. Then we come back in afternoon and then we go to different clubs for different club activities and then we go for some rest and then we take dinner, do some walk and go for study. There are separate academic blocks for each department like Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and an academic block too where all the work of academic section is taken care of. A new super academic block is also there in which all the departments are there, and it is one of the largest educational buildings in Asia.

Our campus doesn't have lots of people there is proper distribution and campus life is also better than I have thought and are lots of clubs like coding club, robotics club, dance club, debate society, artificial intelligence club, machine learning club, fincom club, and decoration club. Our cultural fest is named as Zeitgeist, and which is one of the largest fests of north Indian region and this time it has prize pool of worth 8 lakhs.Read Full Review
